Prince of Wales Lodge. No.1012, Bury

I had a wonderful time visiting the Prince of Wales Lodge No.1012 in Bury, for their 150th Anniversary with Bill Starkey, Stuart Bates, and  Ian Chase from the Prince of Wales Lodge No. 1705 in Gosport. It was a long journey but it was well worth it as I had a great time meeting lots of new friends, some were very distinguished brethren indeed. I have included some pictures of me with new friends. Everyone was smiling and having a fun time, they made me very welcome. Thank you to Bill and his son George for taking good care of me.

Daintree Lodge 2938 Ceremony of Installation

This evening I had a surprise outing. I have been cared for by W.Bro. Dave Ryan, known as "Smiler". He took me as his guest to the Daintree Lodge No. 2938 for a ceremony of Installation. I was very fortunate to be allowed to sit on the pedestal with the Lodge Banner to have my picture taken and afterwards was privileged to share the company of R.W.Bro. Ernest Moss, a true gentleman who cared for me very well. Thank you to all at the lodge for making me so welcome. It was lovely to see so many brethren enjoying themselves on such a special occasion. Now looking forward to my next adventure. Bye for now.

This was followed by a very lively festive board w...ith good food and wine. Significant sums were raised for the 2016 Festival in supporting the RMTGB. Many congratulations to all lodge brethren and in particular the WM, W.Bro. Paul Wright, and to master elect for the ensuing year W.Bro. George Mars. I have included some pictures of me being well cared for by some of the newly proposed stewards and the PGM, WM and IPM. I am going to rest up for a few days as I have a long journey this week in the company of a delegation from the Prince of Wales Lodge No 1705, from Gosport, who traveling North to attend the 150th anniversary of the Prince of Wales Lodge No 1012 in Bury Greater Manchester next Friday 11th July. My Day at the Provincial AGM

Yesterday I received my new appointment as Provincial Grand Standard Bearer. It was wonderful to be presented to the PGM and be on stage looking out to a full auditorium. Thank you to David Foot for transporting me to the Novotel for the celebration dinner. I made lots of new friends and had chance to sit at several tables. I had my photo taken with lots of brethren enjoying themselves, some of them are here for you to see. Everything was going really well when suddenly a napkin was placed over my eyes and I was kidnapped! It was Barrie Hewitt, he has taken me home with him. Be assured I am being very well looked after and he tells me he is taking me on Friday to Albion Place in Southampton to a meeting of the Provincial Grand Stewards Lodge. I am sure to meet lots of brethren and make many new friends.

The Provincial Meeting

2013-07-0313.57.19I'm posting this report BEFORE the Provincial Grand Lodge meeting in Southampton as I will be very busy during the day. I am looking forward to being presented to the Provincial Grand Master at the Guildhall and again later on at the Novotel Hotel in the late afternoon / evening dinner. After that I am going to set off on my travels. My first port of call is still not known to me but I'm told it will be in a few days time, I'll be travelling there in my exclusive transport which is a one seater luxury travelling module (A shoulder Bag) and will hopefully arrive safely before the meeting. I look forward to posting on Facebook and if I get my Twitter account set up in the next day or two will start tweeting a few pictures.

The pictures should also appear here on my Blog.

See you all around the Province and further a-field for that matter.
