After spending time resting at the home of Andrew Paice and his wife Sharon following last weeks visit to Prince of Wales Lodge Saturday evening was spent again in their company sharing in the celebration of the ladies at the Prince of wales Lodge Ladies Festival. Andrew has submitted his report of Square Bear adventures for last week copied below.
"After spending the week in my wife Sharons company during the day and with the family in the evenings, we made a visit to my lod...ge, The Prince of Wales Lodge No 1705 on Thursday evening. We not only celebrated St Georges Day but it was also our Past Masters Night.
W.Bro Ron Benner who has lived in France for some years now, came over to not only take the chair for the evening which he last occupied in 1974, but also to receive his 50th year in masonry certificate, this was presented by the Provincial Grand Senior Warden.
Also for this special evening Ron had requested that his Wardens for the evening be W.Bro Rod Bouskill (S.W.) and W.Bro Alf Spencer.
It was the Raising of Bro David Carter and the ceremony went without a hitch and the officers for the evening performed it in an excellent manner.
At the festive board some 50 brethren enjoyed an excellent traditional roast beef meal in great company, the hall was decorated in St George style, which Square Bear and myself had decorated earlier.
On Saturday morning we were up bright and early to decorate the Masonic Hall for Ladies Night, Square Bear helped me by putting the swags up and then helped Sharon lay the tables.
The evening celebrations were fantastic, a lovely meal again, fantastic company and he had a photograph taken with many people.
W.Bro Nigel Moran ( Our W.M ) and his Lady Joanne had a very enjoyable time and W.Bro Andrew Paice ( MYSELF) sang the Ladies Song and gave out roses has he moved around the room.
Their was lots of dancing and fun with the various auctions that we had and the raffle in aid of the R.M.T.G.B., an excellent sum was raised and also some further pledges towards W.Bro Nigel and My self's "Free Fall" that we are both doing in October, again in aid of the R.M.T.G.B."
Pictures of the Lodge visit have already been posted but here are all those taken enjoying the company of guests.
Thank you to Andrew and Sharon, all the brethren and guests of the Prince of Wales Lodge.
